Single Day Reroof - CASE STUDY

OVERVIEW

When a storm system was bearing down on the forecast, one commercial property owner couldn't afford to wait. A compromised roof meant exposed inventory, interrupted operations, and the kind of water damage that doesn't just cost money, it costs time, tenants, and trust. TeamCraft Roofing was called in with a tight window and a clear mission: get it done before the weather arrived.

What followed was a precisely coordinated single-day reroof of a 1,000 square foot commercial roof completed on schedule, on budget, and hours before the first raindrop fell.

APPROACH

From the moment the crew arrived, every decision was deliberate and focused on one outcome of a fully completed, storm-ready roof, executed start to finish in a single day.

Work began with full OSHA-compliant safety measures before anything touched the roof. The existing system was stripped back, relief cuts made, wall membrane removed, and counterflashing and coping metal disposed of properly. Half-inch fan fold insulation was installed over the existing ISO and coverboard, with any wet or compromised material replaced on the spot.

A 60-mil TPO membrane was then mechanically fastened at 6 inches on center across the field, exceeding standard practice for long-term wind uplift resistance. On the parapet walls, existing membrane was fully removed and replaced with new 60-mil TPO, fully adhered and run up and over the parapet for a continuous, watertight transition. New flashings were installed on all HVAC curbs, the roof hatch, and every penetration. Through-wall scuppers and overflows were set using clad metal scupper sleeves, new gravel stop sealed in place, and TPO cut edge sealant applied to every seam, lap, and cut edge across the entire roof.

With the work complete, the facade was cleaned, equipment cleared, and the site fully demobilized.

RESULTS

When the storm arrived, TeamCraft's work was already behind it.

The 1,000 square foot commercial reroof was completed in full, every seam sealed, every flashing set, every detail accounted for ahead of the first raindrop. For a retail property that couldn't afford a single day of water intrusion or operational disruption, the timing was impressive.

The project was delivered on schedule, on budget, and backed by both a manufacturer's material warranty and TeamCraft's own workmanship warranty. Which gave the property owner complete confidence in the roof system for years to come.
